Ladd- Van Dorpe

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Shelby Harrington and Nancy Sims of Advance announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Janine Ladd, to Christopher Steven Van Dorpe of Advance. He is the son of Bruce and Georgina Hardman of Jackson, N.J.

Ladd is a graduate of Advance High School. She is co-owner of Advance Florist.

Van Dorpe is a graduate of Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg, N.Y. He received an associate's degree in humanities and social sciences from Rockland Community College in Suffern, N.Y. He is a sales associate at Michelson's Jewelers in Cape Girardeau.

A June 29 wedding is planned at Advance United Methodist Church.
