Jerry and Phyllis King of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Renee King, to Andrew Thomas Barlow. He is the son of Ken and Lori Barlow of Fort Madison, Iowa.

King is a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in recreation management from Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, Mo. She is employed at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Barlow is a 2004 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from the college, and will complete student teaching this fall.

A May 30 wedding is planned at Mark Twain Cave Park in Hannibal.
