Kern - Asmus

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Don and Cheryl Kern of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Renee Kern, to David Charles Asmus. He is the son of Mark and Carolyn Asmus of Oran, Mo.

Kern is a 2006 graduate of Kelly High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010. She is a registered dietitian at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Mo.

Asmus is a 2004 graduate of Oran High School. He received an associate degree from Three Rivers Community College in 2007. He is a journeyman lineman with Ameren Missouri.

A June 23 wedding is planned at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Mo.
