Claire Jones Karnes and Mark Joseph Kneer of Cape Girardeau announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Gerald and Joan Jones of Cape Girardeau, and George and Caroline Thompson of Boulder, Colo. Kneer is the son of Buddy and Ann Kneer of Santa Monica, Calif., and the late Patricia Kneer.

Karnes is director of clinical services with Maxim Healthcare Services Inc.
