Hughes-Bond

Virginia Hughes of Louisville, Ky., announces the engagement of her daughter, Barbara A. Hughes, to Marcus R. Bond of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Richard W. and Marian R. Bond of Orem, Utah. Hughes is also the daughter of the late Thomas E. Hughes.

Hughes is a graduate of Hopkinsville High School, Western Kentucky University, and the University of Louisville School of Law. She is a staff attorney with Jefferson Family Court in Louisville.

Bond is a graduate of Loch Raven High School in Towson, Md., Brigham Young University, and Washington State University. He is employed at Southeast Missouri State University.

A Dec. 29 wedding is planned at Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville.
