Hosmer-Tate

Jerry Hosmer of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Darlene Lingle of Jonesboro, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Jenae Hosmer, to Ryan James Tate Jr., both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Ryan and Joanna Tate of Hartland, Wis.

Hosmer is a 1993 graduate of Jackson High School, and a 1999 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is operations manager at Mississippi River Radio.

Tate is a 1994 graduate of Oconomowoc High School in Oconomowoc, Wis., and a 1999 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He is an anchor/reporter at KFVS TV-12.

An Oct. 27 wedding is planned at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau.
