Henson -- Wichert

Matthew and Patti Henson of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Henson, to Coleman Wichert. He is the son of George and Cathy Wichert of Cape Girardeau.

Laura received a Bachelor of Science in child development in 2015 from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a lead toddler teacher at a local daycare.

Coleman is attending Southeast Missouri State University to obtain a bachelor's degree in business entrepreneurship. He works at R&P Lumber.

A Sept. 9 wedding is planned at St. Mary Cathedral Church in Cape Girardeau.
