Haynes - Connell

David and Ana Haynes of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Mariana Higuera-Haynes, to Jack Brooks Connell Jr. He is the son of Jack Connell Sr. and Cathy Connell of Cape Girardeau.

Haynes is a 2009 graduate of Jackson High School. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in communication science disorders from Southeast Missouri State University May 11. She plans to pursue a master's degree in speech/language pathology this fall.

Connell is a 2008 graduate of Central High School. He received an associate degree from Shawnee Community College in 2010. He is employed at 1st Community Bank in Cape Girardeau.

A July wedding is planned at Christ Church of the Heartland.
