Harris - Buerck

Wayne Harris of Eugene, Ore., and Barbara Harris of Alamo, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Chris Harris, to Daniel Patrick Buerck. He is the son of Randy and Susan Buerck of Cape Girardeau.

Harris is a 2002 graduate of Crockett County High School. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Memphis in 2006. She is the co-managing and arts and entertainment editor at the Southeast Missourian.

Buerck is a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) in 2002. He is a staff mechanical engineer at Logan Aluminum in Russellville, Ky.

A 2013 wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
