Harper - Tyra

NEW HAMBURG, Mo.-- David and Karen Harper of New Hamburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Nicole Harper, to Donald Joseph Tyra. He is the son of Allen and Brenda Fry of Dexter, Mo., and the late Charles Tyra Sr.

Harper is a 2005 graduate of Kelly High School in Benton, Mo. She received an associate of arts degree in radiologic technology from Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in May. She is a registered radiology technologist at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Tyra is a 2001 graduate of Dexter High School. He is attending Southeast Missouri State University's Law Enforcement Academy. He is employed by L&M Locksmith/PSSI Security in Dexter, and is a private first class in the Army National Guard's 1221st Transportation Division in Dexter.

A Nov. 1 wedding is planned at Francine's Gardens in Cape Girardeau.
