Hamblin-Cothran

Traci Leigh Hamblin and John W. Cothran of Jackson announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Bob and Georgia Stearns of Jackson. Cothran is the son of Lawrence and Shirley Cothran of Cook Station, Mo.

Hamblin is a graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in recreation from Southeast Missouri State University. She is activity director at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Cothran is a graduate of Steelville High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in computer technology from Southeast University. He is a claims representative with Progressive Insurance.

An Aug. 9 wedding is planned.
