Hagene - Reed

William and Mary Hagene of Smithton, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Bailey Hagene, to Aharon Reed, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of John and Cheri Reed of Cape Girardeau.

Hagene is a graduate of Freeburg High School. She received a degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is lead teacher of the toddler room at Community Day School in Cape Girardeau.

Reed is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management from Southeast University. He is employed at Mollie's Cafe and Bar, and Pagliai's Pizza and Pasta. He owns and operates Aharon's Heirlooms and grows and sells organic vegetables to several local restaurants in Cape Girardeau.

An outdoor wedding is planned in May in Belleville, Ill.
