ADVANCE, Mo. -- George and Minnie Green of Advance announce the engagement of their daughter, Tina R. Green, to Robert R. Macklem, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of James and Shirley Macklem of Kuttawa, Ky.

Green is a 1996 graduate of Advance High School. She is employed at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Jackson.

Macklem is a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and received a bachelor's degree in information system technologies from Southern Illinois University in 2004. He is a network coordinator at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

An April 22 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
