Frank and Nancy Gates of Chowchilla, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lynn Gates, to Sean Fitzgerald, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of William and Kathleen Fitzgerald of Orlando, Fla. Gates is a graduate of Mississippi State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at Southeast Missouri State University. Frank and Nancy Gates of Chowchilla, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lynn Gates, to Sean Fitzgerald, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of William and Kathleen Fitzgerald of Orlando, Fla.

Gates is a graduate of Mississippi State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at Southeast Missouri State University. She is recreation coordinator for Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation.
