SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ty and Sue Garrett of Sikeston announce the engagement of their daughter, Cori Garrett, to James Mulvenon. He is the son of Dan and Ann Mulvenon of Olathe, Kan.

Garrett is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in education from Missouri State University in May.

Mulvenon is a 2006 graduate of Olathe Northwest High School. He expects to receive a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from Missouri State University in May.

The couple plans a June 26 wedding in Sikeston.
