Froemsdorf-Higuera

KELSO, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Froemsdorf of Kelso announce the engagement of their daughter, Heidi Marie Froemsdorf, to Fernando Alexander Higuera. He is the son of Celida Higuera of Guadalajara, Mexico, and the late Jaime Fernando Higuera.

Froemsdorf is a 2001 graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She received a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006, and is pursuing a master's degree in education at Southeast. She will be teaching Spanish at St. Vincent de Paul Grade School this fall.

Higuera is a 1994 graduate of Centro de Estudios Avanzados. He received a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Southeast, and is pursuing a master's degree in education at St. Louis University. He is a high school Spanish teacher with Scott County School District.

An Oct. 13 wedding is planned at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo.
