Franklin - Cookson

CAIRO, Ill. -- Don and Mary Franklin of Cairo announce the engagement of their daughter, Christy Irene Franklin, to Bradley Stephen Cookson. He is the son of Ronnie and Dee Cookson of Morley, Mo.

Franklin is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, and a 2007 graduate of Eastern Illinois University. She is a representative payee at Delta Center Inc.

Cookson is a 1995 graduate of Scott County Central High School, and a 2000 graduate of College of the Ozarks. He is a claims associate with Farm Bureau.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned.
