Fisher-Sargent

Rex and Peggy Fisher of Glendora, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renee Fisher, to Travis William Sargent, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of William Sargent of Lowndes, Mo., and the late Mary Sargent.

Fisher is a 1996 graduate of Glendora High School. She received a bachelor's degree in biology and Spanish in 2000 from the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif., and a master's degree in forensic science in 2002 from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is employed at Southeast Missouri Regional Crime Laboratory.

Sargent is a 1994 graduate of Greenville High School. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. He is a police officer with Cape Girardeau Police Department.

A June 19, 2004, wedding is planned at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Calif.
