Felter -- Black

Zeno "Sam" and Jolene Felter of Benton, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Kathryn Felter of Nevada, Missouri, to Austin Dean Black of Columbia, Missouri. He is the son of Alan and Brenda Black of Deepwater, Missouri.

Laura is a 2009 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School, and in 2012 graduated from the University of Missouri -- Columbia with a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness management and a minor in plant sciences. She is employed as a retail representative at Syngenta.

Austin graduated in 2007 from Proverbs 22 Homeschool and in 2011 received his bachelor of science degree in agriculture business and animal science from the College of the Ozarks. He is employed as a photojournalist at MFA Inc.

An Oct. 10 wedding is planned at El Tomaria Farm in Benton.
