Essner-Spinks

Steve and Donna Essner of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Nicole Essner, to Philip Ryan Spinks. He is the son of Gary Spinks of Scott City and Phyllis Crump of Cape Girardeau.

Essner is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in health management from Southeast Missouri State University in May. She is employed at Drury National Call Center.

Spinks is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School. He received an associate of science degree in advanced electronics from Mineral Area College at Park Hills, Mo., in 2004. He is employed by Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo, Ill.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo.
