Essner - Johnson

Tom and Linda Essner of Chaffee, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Renee Essner, to James Cory Johnson, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Jim and Janice Johnson of Cape Girardeau.

Essner is a graduate of Kelly High School at Benton, Mo., and Maryville University in St. Louis. She is a registered nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Johnson is a graduate of Clearwater High School in Piedmont, Mo., and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He is a teacher and basketball coach at Jackson High School.

A June 7 wedding is planned at St. Lawrence Parish Center in New Hamburg, Mo.
