MARQUAND, Mo. -- Kelvin and Patty Yount of Marquand announce the engagement of their daughter, Misty LaChelle Yount, to Brandon Lynn Boyd. He is the son of Jim and Robin Boyd of Sedgewickville, Mo.

Yount is a 1995 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. She is a waitress at Bonnie's Cafe in Patton, Mo.

Boyd is a 1998 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. He is employed by J&K Yount Farms in Millersville, Mo.

An Oct. 7 wedding is planned at Union Light Church in Marquand.
