JACKSON -- Melvin and Loretta Uelsmann of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristina Lynn Uelsmann, to Robert Bradley Stout. He is the son of Frank and Berta Stout of Ellington.

Uelsmann received a bachelor of science degree in health management from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. She is employed at Southeast Outpatient Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau.

Stout received an associate of applied science degree in HVAC from Linn State Technical College in 1998. He is a technician with Obermann and Son Inc. in Jackson.

An Aug. 19 wedding is planned at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
