JACKSON, Mo. -- James and Rita Trankler of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Nichole Trankler, to Joseph McCadams, both of Knoxville, Tenn. He is the son of Bob and Karen McCadams of Cordele, Ga.

Trankler is attending the University of Tennessee. She is employed at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

McCadams is a graduate of Mercer Medical School in Macon, Ga. He is a fifth year surgery resident at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

A June 4 wedding is planned in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
