ENGAGEMENTS: SIMMONS-LYON

CHARLESTON -- George Elliott Simmons of Charleston and Julie Lutz Simmons of Scottsdale, Ariz., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Julie Elizabeth Simmons, to Scott Denton Lyon. He is the son of the late Edward Augustus Lyon and the late Margaret Keck Lyon, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Simmons is a 1983 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau, and 1987 graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She is employed at Reunion Records in Nashville.

Lyon is a 1984 graduate of Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, and a 1988 graduate of Vanderbilt University. He is employed by ezgov.com Inc. in Atlanta, Ga.

An April 22 wedding is planned at the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
