ENGAGEMENTS: SHARP-BABB

Mary Susan Hogan Sharp of Cape Girardeau and Paul Nathan Babb of Santa Cruz, Calif., announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Hogan of Cincinnati, Ohio. Babb is the son of Marlys Babb of Denman Island, British Columbia, Canada, and the late James Babb.

Sharp received a bachelor of science degree in biology from William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Va., master of science in biology from Texas A&M University in College Station, and master of religious education from Loyola University in New Orleans. She is a religion teacher at St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School.

Babb received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of California in Santa Cruz. He is a captain with the university's fire department.

An Aug. 10 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
