COMMERCE, Mo. -- Scott and Debra Sander of Commerce announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Joy Sander, to Jamie William Essner. He is the son of Paul and Geneva Essner of New Hamburg, Mo. COMMERCE, Mo. -- Scott and Debra Sander of Commerce announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Joy Sander, to Jamie William Essner. He is the son of Paul and Geneva Essner of New Hamburg, Mo.

Sander is a 1999 graduate of Kelly High School at Benton, Mo. She is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at S&L Builders in Scott City, Mo.

Essner is a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. He is employed at Steward Steel in Sikeston, Mo.

A June 9 wedding is planned at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg.
