OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- David and Judy Petermichel of Olive Branch announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Lucille Petermichel, to Daniel Eric DeFew. He is the son of James and Janie DeFew of Suwanee, Ky.

Petermichel is a 1993 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in administration of justice from Southern Illinois University.

DeFew is a 1987 graduate of Lyon County High School. He is employed by Pipefitters Local 184 in Paducah, Ky.

A June 2 wedding is planned at Eddyville United Methodist Church in Eddyville, Ky.
