ENGAGEMENTS: PEDTKE-MAYFIELD

Gene and Jeanette Pedtke of DuBois, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Traci Lynn Pedtke, to John David Mayfield. He is the son of John J. and Rita Mayfield of Cape Girardeau, and Nick and Susan Vetro of St. Joseph, Mo.

Pedtke is a 1995 graduate of Nashville Community High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000.

Mayfield is a 1996 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in cellular/molecular biology from Southeast University in 2001. He has accepted an assistantship for a Ph.D. in the plant molecular and cellular biology program at the University of Florida.

A June 16 wedding is planned at St. Charles Borromeo Church in DuBois.
