ENGAGEMENTS: MCCARTY-DUFRENNE

Bill and Willene McCarty of Steeleville, Ill., and David and Kay Chaffee of Collinsville, Ill., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Laura Kay McCarty, to Leo Dwight DuFrenne Jr. He is the son of Leo and Sue DuFrenne and Janice DuFrenne of Red Bud, Ill.

McCarty is a graduate of Sparta High School in Sparta, Ill. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Ford Motor Credit Co.

DuFrenne is a graduate of Red Bud High School in Red Bud. He is employed at Tower Rock Stone Co. in Scott City.

An April 15 wedding is planned.
