Dr. Richard and Susan Martin of Cape Girardeau have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Pauline Martin, to Daniel Garrick Bickel. He is the son of Gary and Myra Bickel of St. Charles.

Martin is a 1993 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University in December.

Bickel is a 1993 graduate of Duchesne High School in St. Charles, and attended Southeast University. He is a CAD drafter with Lockwood-Greene in St. Louis.

A Jan. 15 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel.
