BENTON, Mo. -- Alan and Vera Hennemann of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Ann Hennemann, to Shannon Paul Schumer. He is the son of Thomas and Linda Schumer of Perryville, Mo.

Hennemann is a 1999 graduate of Kelly High School. She is a waitress at Cedar Street in Cape Girardeau.

Schumer is a 1993 graduate of St. Vincent's High School in Perryville, and 1999 graduate of Jefferson College at Hillsboro, Mo. He is employed in the maintenance department at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

An April 21 wedding is planned at St. Denis Catholic Church.
