ENGAGEMENTS: BATYE-BURNS

Clara L. Batye of St. Louis, formerly of Cape Girardeau, announces the engagement of her daughter, Donna J. Batye of Maryland Heights, Mo., to Michael J. Burns of Marissa, Ill. He is the son of Cliff and Nancy Burns of Roseville, Calif. Batye is also the daughter of the late Marvin E. Batye.

Batye is a 1987 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and a 1993 graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She is a registered pharmacist with Express Scripts Inc.

Burns is a 1988 graduate of Oakmont High School in Roseville. He received an associate's degree in computer science from Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. He is a network specialist with Hellmuth, Obata and Kassalbaum.

An Aug. 12 wedding is planned at St. John Bosco Church in Maryland Heights.
