ENGAGEMENT: RICE-HANLON

CHAFFEE -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Perry Rice III of Chaffee have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Jeannette Rice, to Matthew Anthony Hanlon. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hanlon of Chaffee.

Rice is a 1996 graduate of Chaffee High School. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May.

Hanlon is a 1995 graduate of Chaffee High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from UMC in 1999, and is pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the university.

A June 10 wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church.
