Jerry and Toni Dement of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Brooke Dement, to Joshua Blake Miller. He is the son of Blake and Kathy Miller of Cape Girardeau.

Dement is a 2001 graduate of Central High School, and expects to receive a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in December.

Miller is a 2000 graduate of Central High School. He received a degree in agriculture from Southeast in 2004. He is employed with Midwest Grain and Barge Co.

A July 1, 2006, wedding is planned at Centenary United Methodist Church.
