Cox-Scherer

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- George and Mary Nelle Cox of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Cox, to Kenneth Scherer of Oran, Mo. He is the son of Charles and Rose Ann Scherer of Benton, Mo.

Cox received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's degree in communication disorders from Arkansas State University. She is a speech-language pathologist with RehabSystems.

Scherer is a heavy equipment operator with ASA Enterprises.

A Sept. 20 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Delta, Mo.
