Cox is a graduate of Knob Noster High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Truman State University in 2003.

Edwards is a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in English from Truman University in 2002.

A July 10 wedding is planned in Knob Noster.
