Cole - Palisch

Mr. and Mrs. William H. Cole of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Anne Cole, to Matthew Ernst Palisch. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Palisch of Jackson.

Katie is a 2002 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., in 2006, and attended the master's program in counseling at Colorado Christian University in Colorado Springs. She is a mortgage consultant with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Cape Girardeau.

Matt is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in organ performance and a bachelor of music education degree from Southeast in 2006, and a master's degree in organ performance from the University of Iowa at Iowa City, in 2008. He is director of music and worship at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, and an adjunct professor of organ at Southeast.

A Dec. 28 wedding is planned at St. Paul Church.
