Burnell - Compas

Billy Joe Windeknecht of Perkins, Mo., announces the engagement of his daughter, Penny Yvonne Burnell, to James Michael Compas, both of Jackson. He is the son of Vernon and Elwanda Compas of Cape Girardeau. Burnell is also the daughter of the late Judy Pender.

Burnell is a 1988 graduate of Central High School. She is employed at Signature Packaging and Paper LLC in Jackson.

Compas is a 1982 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He is a technician at Procter & Gamble.

An Oct. 17 wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
