BENTON, Mo. -- Ron and Janis Burford of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Renee Burford, to Randy E. Jennings Jr., both of Cape Girardeau. BENTON, Mo. -- Ron and Janis Burford of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Renee Burford, to Randy E. Jennings Jr., both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Randy and Jana Jennings of Bernie, Mo.

Burford received a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2005. She is a registered dental hygienist at Cross Trails Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Jennings is a 2002 graduate of SIU-Carbondale. He is a registered sonographer at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

An Aug. 29 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
