Burchyett - Hays

Madge Burchyett of Cape Girardeau announces the engagement of her daughter, Bethany Ann Burchyett of Franklin, Tenn., to Benjamin Lawrence Hays of Brentwood, Tenn. He is the son of Larry and Denise Hays of Brentwood.

Burchyett received a bachelor of arts degree in creative writing and theater from Union University in Jackson, Tenn. She is employed at Elite Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Hays received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Union University. He is employed in product development at Allstate in Nashville.

A May 23 wedding is planned in Shuck Recital Hall on the River Campus.
