Blevins - Powell

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jim and Kathy Blevins of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Rebecca Blevins, to Lloyd Vincent Powell Jr. He is the son of the late Lloyd Powell Sr. of Cahokia, Ill., and the late Shirley Powell of Fairview Heights, Ill.

Blevins is a graduate of Chaffee High School. She received a degree in wildlife biology from Southeast Missouri State University, and is a science education graduate student at the university.

Powell is a graduate of Assumption Catholic High School in East St. Louis, Ill. He received a diploma in building maintenance mechanics and electrical mechanics from Vatterott College in Sunset Hills, Mo. He is employed in maintenance at St. Joseph Academy in St. Louis.

An outdoor wedding is planned Oct. 3, 2009, at Peaceful Valley Baptist Camp in St. Mary, Mo.
