Blattel -- Weiss

Michael and Teresa Blattel of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Marie, to Jared Brian Weiss, both of Scott City. He is the son of Brian Weiss of Cape Girardeau and Roger and Missy Buckner of Scott City.

Emily is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School and a 2012 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where she received a degree in organizational administration. She is a cash management officer at Montgomery Bank.

Jared is a 2005 graduate of Scott City High School. He is owner of Clean Cut Lawn Maintenance.

A Nov. 21 wedding is planned at Pleasant Hill Church in Fruitland.
