Beussink - Martin

Bob and Nan Beussink Jr. of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Evelyn Leigh Beussink, to Matthew Paul Martin. He is the son of Larry and Harriet Martin of Jackson.

Beussink received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a counselor at Lutheran Family and Children's Services.

Martin received bachelor degrees in music performance and music education and a master's degree in music education from Southeast, and expects to receive a master of education in administration from William Woods University in December. He is a music teacher with Scott County School District in Benton, Mo.

An April 25, 2009, wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
