Beard - Foster

Daniel and Debbie Beard of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth Beard, to Benjamin Ray Foster. He is the son of Mike and Mary Foster of Kennett, Mo.

Beard is a 2003 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science in health management in 2007, and a bachelor of science in education in 2010, both from Southeast Missouri State University. She is pursuing a master of arts in secondary education at Southeast. She is a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation at the university.

Foster is a 2005 graduate of Kennett High School. He received a bachelor of science in education from Southeast in 2010. He is a physical education teacher, assistant football coach and track coach at Kennett High School.

A July 9 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
