__Community involvement:__ President of the Poplar Bluff Boys & Girls Club board of directors, United Cancer Assistance Network, March of Dimes, Women Aware Organization, Ozark Family Resource Agency and the Missouri Association for Healthcare and PR.
What community issue are you most passionate about?
I want to make sure that the next generation of children in our community has the opportunity to achieve higher levels of success far beyond our current and past generations. I've been actively involved with the Boys & Girls Club of Poplar Bluff for more than eight years. Our most recent success in the last year is the club being able to double their after -school attendance to make sure we are reaching the children who need us the most.
What's the most satisfying part about your work?
I have the best of both worlds in my position at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. I have the privilege of witnessing the medical miracles our physicians and nurses perform every day. Last year, our Women's Center delivered more than 1,200 babies. And it's really an amazing feeling to realize that every single day a new life begins here. But I also have the privilege of being out of the office and very involved in our community to witness the great work of so many organizations. At Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, we are proud to donate more than $100,000 and countless volunteer hours to help these organizations make an even larger impact. My work allows me to help others on a daily basis, and nothing is more satisfying than that.
What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishment?
For the past three years, I've had the privilege of being intricately involved in the process of building a brand-new hospital. This is something that few people have the opportunity to do in their lifetime. The past two years in particular have felt like total chaos at times, trying to make sure all the pieces of the puzzle were in place, but being able to watch all your hard work come together on a project of this magnitude has been the most gratifying experience of my career.
