Since owners Steve and Mark Mueller are identical twins, customers visiting the Stev-Mark Inc. store at 2125 William in Cape Girardeau don't know who is waiting on them unless they ask.

But it really doesn't matter. Either Mueller brother has the experience to help you make your home beautification project a success.

"With 80 years of combined experience, doing the job right the first time is never a problem," said Mark.

In addition to Benjamin Moore paints, the signature product line, Stev-Mark also offers quality wall coverings as well as custom window treatments and shutters.

A segment of Stev-Mark's business that is on the grow is its custom picture framing department, which is being expanded. "We are the largest custom picture framer in Cape," Mark said.

The past year saw the expansion of the Benjamin Moore paint offerings to include a new line of paint with a built-in primer. The all-in-one products reduce the number of coats needed to do the job and, as a result, save time and money.

The new line also is safe for the environment. "All the new products are consumer-friendly 'green' products," Mark said.

The business was opened by Val Mueller in 1954, with the name changing to Stev-Mark in 1972.
