Several new businesses to open

The owners of numerous new businesses have filed with the City of Cape Girardeau Community Development Department for business licenses.

• Hollie Welter of Cape Girardeau is starting Bliss Hair Studio at 121 S. Broadview St. It will provide salon and spa services. Welter also runs Blank Canvas Hair Studio.
• Christopher and Lindsey Hutson of Cape Girardeau are starting a mobile beverage cart called Molon Latte. They will attend public and private events and sell coffee drinks.
• Irene Chamberlain of Cape Girardeau is starting Crowned Jewel Beauty Studio at 401 S. West End Blvd. The studio will offer beauty services, hair braiding and retail sales
• Business license applications show Buckner-Ragsdale Event Center at 132 N. Main St. has an opening date of Monday, April 1. The three-story building has space for three to four events such as weddings, graduation parties and birthday parties. The nearby Top of the Marq restaurant will be opening a second location there, though it will be catering-only.
