While the store is already open at 2136 William St., Suite 196, Ebersohl said a grand opening is planned for June 27. * Meador takes ownership of two convenience stores: Charlotte Meador has bought the Keg Shop in Cape Girardeau and Jackson Bait and Tackle.

She purchased the Keg Shop at 1803 Independence St. in January and Jackson Bait and Tackle at 1024 N. High St. in Jackson in April. While this will be her first time to own a convenience store, Meador is no stranger to the business.

Meador has worked in convenience stores since she was a student at Southeast Missouri State University, and has since worked at Rhodes 101, Wink's and the Keg Shop. She previously tried to purchase the Keg Shop but things never worked out.

Her plans include adding more varieties of food at Jackson Bait and Tackle and more wine and microbrews at the Keg Shop.

"I am pretty tickled," Meador said. "I appreciate all my customers, especially at the Keg Shop, who take detours around the construction and are faithful."
