Fuel prices drop nationwide, averaging $3.45 per gallon for regular fuel. Missouri sees even lower prices, with some areas as cheap as $2.91.

Fuel prices have seen a steep decline over the past week, with a national average now at just $3.45 a gallon for regular fuel.

The state of Missouri’s average is now just $3.14, with the southeast region of the state seeing significantly cheaper costs than cities and counties in the center of it.

Nationally, the average per gallon for diesel stands at $3.77 nationally and $3.42 in the Show-Me State.

County averages Sunday (per AAA)

• Bollinger: $3.14;

• Cape Girardeau: $3.10;

• Perry: $3.15;

• Scott: $3.16.

Price ranges Sunday (per GasBuddy)

• Cape Girardeau: $2.91 to $3.06;

• Jackson: $3.06 to $3.19;

• Marble Hill: $3.06;

• Perryville: $3.08 to $3.19;

• Scott City: $3.17 to $3.19.
